About your hosts
The “main characters” of this retreat are YOU and our breathtaking surroundings — the ocean, nature, and Nicaraguan culture. Each day offers space for reflection, exploration, playful curiosity, and community — because this experience isn’t something we simply attend; it’s something we build together.
Come as you are. Leave feeling more at home in your body and more connected to the world around you. Unwind and rewild. This special Nicaragua retreat will be co-led by Susie Longwill and Kelli Stam.
Susie Longwill:
Susie has been practicing yoga for almost 30 years and teaching yoga for well over a decade. Susie leads a practice that explores and deepens the mind-❤-body connection and supports a regulated nervous system…. with an emphasis on strength and mobility for longevity, movement that activates different parts of the brain and increases neuroplasticity, and a lot of opportunities to practice breath and presence. Susie wants everybody to be able to move through their lives with a little more ease and freedom!
She believes that how we feel in our bodies directly affects the way we interact with the world around us.
Kelli Stam:
Having lived and worked as a Peace Corps volunteer for two years (2011-2013) in Nicaragua, our host locations for this retreat are dear friends of Kelli’s and people and communities that Kelli supported with her work while in the Peace Corps.
Kelli will serve as your group lead, helping our participants with their trip planning logistics and working on the ground throughout the retreat in partnership with both our host locations and our participants. Kelli lives in Ojai and loves practicing with Susie.
We can’t wait to meet you and move with you. Given this is our first retreat as group leaders, we are extending these rates at a special discount for this retreat only
